DCD
Qualification and requirements :
Night Drilling Supervisors ( NDS):
Minimum entry level DCD require for a Drilling Supervisor - they
must have worked at least ten years in the Position of Senior
Toolpusher, Rig Superintendent and or OIM on Drillships or Semi
Submersibles.
When they have reached foresaid level, DCD conduct a complete
vetting process with each consultants back ground in the Oil & Gas
drilling industry. Once that process has been completed, each
consultants certification is brought up to Operator minimum
requirements.
DCD will then place the chosen applicant with a client as Night
Drilling Supervisor (NDS) on Semi Submersible, Drillship or Jackup.
Senior Drilling Supervisors (SDS):
DCD Senior Drilling Supervisors have all meet the above standards,
having already been in the field as SDS, they have also operated
as NDS. All our SDS have operated sole charge.
In most cases our supervisors have been in the industry in excess
of 20yrs.
Our supervisors have worked in water depths up to 3000m on floater
with DP systems and also Anchor Mooring systems.
DCD supervisors are not limited to deepwater, most have experience
with Jackups and Land Rigs. In most cases they have started out in
the industry working land rigs.
